 Mrs. Afiya Armstrong

Mrs. Afiya Armstrong received her B.A degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She earned her MEd from Brenau University and teaching license from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She earned her second Masters degree in Public Health from Walden University where she also completed her doctoral studies coursework and is in the process of completing her dissertation.

Mrs. Armstrong's educational career has spanned over 16 years. She has taught in the Atlanta Public School (GA) and Memphis City School districts. She has served as an educational researcher with Battelle Memorial Institute/ The Center for Disease Control and Prevention, contributing to several research projects and articles. As an educational consultant with the University of Memphis, RISE Project, she presented at local and state conferences, regularly monitored academic environments to identify and address local and county wide school needs, and facilitated academic and behavioral in-service programs and classroom instruction.
